What is the appropriate attire for a sommelier?
| |
Though the proper attire really depends upon the restaurant you're working in (i.e., your clothing should correspond to the restaurant's style, formal or casual), the key to dressing appropriately is to always look professional. This means keeping your shoes shined (an often forgotten but very important detail) and wearing freshly-pressed clothes. In most settings, a black or other darkly-colored suit is the way to go.
